Roi (English: Rohu Carp; Scientific name: Labeo rohita) is a well-known fish in Bangladesh. The local names are Rui, Rohita, Rau, Nala, Gorma, Nosi etc. Roi fish can grow up to 200 cm tall. They can live for a maximum of 10 years and weight up to 45 kg. Each 100 gram Roi fish contains 16.5 grams of ammonia, 1.4 grams of fat, 680mg of calcium, 223 milligrams of phosphorus.
